The Technical Industrial College took another leap forward as the fifth batch of 186 students, including a good number of girls, graduated to start a new career amid the Omanisation campaign.
The ceremony, presided over by Interior Minister Sayyid Ali bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, was attended by Sheikh Amor bin Shuwain Al Hosni, Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Vocational Training.

The state-run college, designed to promote vocational education, is a major source to cut joblessness among nationals. Private vocational training institutes, which had mushroomed to make money, have since been streamlined by Al Hosni to ensure quality education for citizens to replace expatriate employees.
