Seven-member team to take over running of one of the Seha system’s flagship hospitals

Abu Dhabi: A new management team has been appointed at Mafraq Hospital, one of the flagship hospitals in the Seha Health System.

The new executive team has been carefully selected to bring a unique perspective to Mafraq Hospital and the people of Abu Dhabi.

It will be led by Lee Huntley, Chief Executive Officer of Mafraq Hospital and supported by Dr Mohammad Yaman, Chief Medical Officer. Huntley brings over 30 years of professional experience gained in hospital management in the USA.

Carl Stanifer, CEO, Seha, said: “Mafraq Hospital is a well-established hospital in an area of large population growth, the hospital is recognised as a leader in health care excellence, making it an obvious choice as the flagship institution for this initiative.

“We are confident that this restructuring will allow for a seamless approach to its already high standards for delivering quality patient care.”

A new hospital is set to replace the current Mafraq Hospital campus.

The new Mafraq Hospital will secure its position as a leading trauma and surgery facility.

It will also serve as the community hospital for one of the fastest growing areas in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, while continuing to align its goals with those of the Executive Council and Abu Dhabi 2030.

Mafraq Hospital, a 451-licensed bed hospital and one of the flagship facilities in the Seha Health System, employs a total of 2,038 healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, and support workers.

It also operates the largest burn unit in the country and is a recognised leader in quality patient care.
