Motorcyclist run over in RAK

Ras Al Khaimah: An Indian motorcyclist died on the spot after being run over by a speeding car in Ras Al Khaimah on Saturday, a police official said.

The accident took place on Saturday morning on Al Araibi bridge.

The official said the Indian motorcyclist, identified as H.A., died after a vehicle driven by Syrian motorist ran over him.

The victim lost control over his motorcycle on Al Araibi Bridge, fell down and the speeding car ran over him.

Police patrols and paramedics moved to the scene after police operations room received a call about the incident.

His body was transferred to a hospital morgue.

The Syrian driver has been taken into police custody for interrogation.
