Morocco approves law for UAE-funded hospitals

Shaikh Zayed and Shaikh Khalifa hospitals to be built in Casablanca

Rabat: The Government of Morocco has ratified a law pertaining to two projects to build the Shaikh Zayed Hospital in Rabat and the Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital in Casablanca.

A grant of $100 million (Dh367 million) was offered by UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to build the Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Hospital in Casablanca.

Mustafa Al Khalfi, Minister of Communications and spokesperson for the Moroccan government, said the two projects were aimed at enhancing the healthcare services and medical education in Morocco, as well as providing free treatment to the poor.
