Lauds impact of UAE diplomatic community

Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received on Tuesday UAE ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions in international organisations, and heads of consular missions abroad, who greeted him on the advent of Ramadan.
During the meeting, Shaikh Mohammad affirmed that the UAE's stature on the international stage is mainly due to the wise policies of Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan which are being continued by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Shaikh Mohammad said that visionary policies that had successfully weaved political and humanitarian aspects had earned the respect and admiration of the international community.
Foreign policies and extending bridges of friendship with other nations were vital to a development agenda, providing the nation a solid foundation to achieve sustainable development, Shaikh Mohammad said stressing that UAE ambassadors play an important part in preserving the efficiency of this system in order to enhance the UAE's standing at a regional, Arab, and international level.
Bridge of communication
Shaikh Mohammad pointed out the essential role that UAE ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions must carry out by representing the country's point of view. The diplomatic community, he said, served as the bridge of communication linking various societies and international organisations around the world.
The UAE's envoys, Shaikh Mohammad added, represent a link that strengthens relations with various countries and also open up new avenues of strategic cooperation that will ultimately benefit the UAE by opening up the path of progress and development.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region; Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister; Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser; Dr. Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and other senior officials were also present during the meeting.
