Man killed in four-car collision in Sharjah

Sharjah: A Pakistani man died and several others sustained serious injuries in a pile-up involving four cars on Humaid Bin Saqr Al Qasimi road.

The collision was reported at around 4.50am on Monday. Police patrols and ambulances were promptly dispatched to the scene of the crash.

Police said the accident took place due to speeding and failure to maintain safe distance between vehicles.

All the injured were transferred to hospitals, along with the Pakistani man who succumbed to his injuries.

Wasit police are investigating the accident.
