Man dies after run over by speeding car in RAK

Ras Al Khaimah: An Emirati man died on the spot after being run over by a speeding car driven by a teenager in Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Rams area in the early hours of Friday.

Colonel Ebrahim Mohammad Al Muttar, director of Al Rams police station, said the 34-year-old victim was crossing the road from an non-designated spot when he was run over.

The police have taken the 19-year-old Emirati driver into custody for questioning. Investigation into the incident is ongoing, police confirmed.
