Hosts Lusitanians 'B' clinched the 2nd Sun and Sands Sports Mixed six-a-side hockey tournament with an emphatic 4-1 win over Al Mustaksef of Oman at the Sharjah Wanderers ground, on Friday.

This is the first title for the Lusitanians in a long time after their earlier five unsuccessful bids for the crown in tournaments organised by Lacnor, Dulsco, Darjeeling and Dubal during this year.

Nasir Rafiq, marketing manager, Nike Sun and Sand Sports LLC was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of co-sponsors Tony Dalby, SS Rao, Banaras and Sunil Kumar.
The final was a fitting tribute to the hard work put in Jolene Scullion, rightly voted the best lady player of the tournament.

Scullion was in tremendous form scoring all the goals in the semifinal and the final as Lusitanians 'B' won 2-0 against Lusitanians 'A' in the semis and got the better of Al Mustaksef of Oman 4-1 in the final.

In the second semifinal, the Omani team had got the better of Darjeeling 3-2 in the tie-breaker.
Lusitanians 'A' capped a perfect day for their team with a 3-2 victory against Darjeeling to take the third spot in the day-long tournament.
