Under the patronage of Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, in collaboration with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the UAE Accountability Authority, and several strategic partners, will host the INTERPOL Global Conference on Anti-Corruption and Asset Recovery from November 11 to 13, 2025, at the Erth Abu Dhabi Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The event will bring together representatives from over 90 countries, alongside several international organisations and more than 200 experts and officials from around the world.
Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, affirmed that hosting this international event reflects the UAE’s leading role in supporting global efforts to combat corruption and protect public funds. He noted that the conference embodies the vision of the UAE’s wise leadership to strengthen international cooperation and promote the exchange of best practices and expertise to address complex financial crimes.
He added that Abu Dhabi’s hosting of this global event underscores the international community’s confidence in the efficiency and organisational capabilities of the UAE’s security and oversight institutions. He emphasized the significance of the conference as a global platform for unifying efforts and enhancing partnerships among nations and international organizations to combat corruption and recover illicit assets.
He further stressed that Abu Dhabi Police continues to play a pioneering role in supporting international initiatives aimed at upholding transparency and integrity, and reinforcing the UAE’s position as a global center for dialogue and cooperation in security-related fields.
Brigadier General Dr. Rashid Mohammed Borshid, Director of the Saif bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences and Head of the Organizing Committee for the INTERPOL Global Conference on Anti-Corruption and Asset Recovery, stated that the event will feature more than 40 international speakers representing diverse regions and organisations around the world.
He explained that the conference includes three main events forming the core of this global gathering. It will begin with the Conference on Anti-Corruption and Asset Recovery, which will focus on major corruption-related crimes, the challenges faced by countries, ways to enhance cooperation among national and international bodies, and the respective roles of these entities in combating corruption. Sessions will also highlight INTERPOL’s role in asset recovery, approved mechanisms, and best practices including the Silver Notice for Best Practices.
The event will also host the INTERPOL Global Match-Fixing Task Force Meeting, attracting participants from more than 120 countries, aimed at discussing best practices and partnerships with the private sector and strategic partners to promote integrity in sports, combat illegal betting, and prevent manipulation across various levels of competition.
Additionally, a Regional Workshop on Sports Integrity will be held for developing countries, focusing on sharing best practices in tackling match manipulation, promoting fairness in sports competitions, and strengthening cooperation between National Olympic Committees and law enforcement agencies to conduct criminal investigations related to such offenses.
