Guide on transfer of sponsorship

Expatriates working in 15 occupations under the categories of journalist, nurse and translator are eligible for transfer of their sponsorship according to the job classification guide, which is an annexe of the executive regulations of the Cabinet Decision No. (30) on sponsorship transfer.

Expatriates working in 15 occupations under the categories of journalist, nurse and translator are eligible for transfer of their sponsorship according to the job classification guide, which is an annexe of the executive regulations of the Cabinet Decision No. (30) on sponsorship transfer.

After approval by the ministers of Interior and Labour and Social Affairs, the guide will be distributed to typing offices to be used as a guide for typing sponsorship transfer transactions.

Employers in the nursing category eligible to transfer their sponsorship are nursing specialist, motherhood and childhood nursing specialist, surgical nursing specialist, specialist in public health nursing, and general nursing specialist.

Applicants from the above category must have a university degree in the field of his/her speciality, and he/she must meet other conditions set by the Cabinet decision in this regard.

Employers in the category of journalists who are allowed to transfer their sponsorship are editor in chief, reporter, news editor, editorial manager, correspondent, news controller, news photographer, news graphic designer.

The translator category includes translator and simultaneous translator.

All employees included in the above categories must have a university degree in the field of their speciality must have spent at least two years with their former employers, must obtain approval from the employer to transfer sponsorship and must have a valid residence visa stamped in the passport.
