Work on Khalifa housing city for Yemen flood victims progressing

About 85 per cent of work on ground levelling for building the Shaikh Khalifa housing city for flood victims in Hadramout in Yemen has finished.

Sana'a:  About 85 per cent of work on ground leveling for building the Shaikh Khalifa housing city for flood victims in Hadramout in Yemen has finished.

Developers said 200 residential units would be built on 200,000 sq. metre site at the Hadramout coast.

The city is being built as per directives of UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and is financed by the UAE Red Crescent Authority as part of the 1000 unit Khalifa City.

Construction work will start in February 2010 and will take one year.
