Abu Dhabi: A vehicle with modern appliances was presented by the Ministry of Interior and endorsed by Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to a special needs student.
The UAE national Mohammad Ganim Bin Hameed Al Ali who is a special needs student will be able to step up and down in ease.
Major General Khalil Dawoud Badran, Director of the Abu Dhabi Police Financial and Services Department conveyed, the best wishes of Shaikh Saif to the 10-year old-special needs student while presenting him with the vehicle designed to alleviate his difficulties in movement.
Badran reiterated that the gift is an extension to Shaikh Saif's continuous backing of special needs people as a part of the "Hope Planting" campaign for special needs, aimed at enhancing UAE values, such as social solidarity.
Ganim Bin Hameed Al Ali, the special needs student's father, expressed his gratitude to Shaikh Saif for his kind gesture and the care he extends to ease the daily life difficulties of this category of people.
He also thanked Shaikh Saif for the vehicle which is fitted with a special lifter that works automatically to lift and bring down his son upon taking him to the special needs centrein Ras Al Khaimah.
He also added that his son suffers a mental and motor special needs condition. He added that the vehicle presented by Shaikh Saif will make life easier for the child.
Shaikh Saif's initiative includes a number of activities and projects that are being carried out by the Ministry during this year, in line with the directives of the UAE leadership in caring and tending to the requirements of special needs people.
