Abu Dhabi: US President Donald Trump concluded a state visit to the United Arab Emirates on Friday, departing from Abu Dhabi following a series of high-level meetings and ceremonial engagements.

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan led the farewell delegation at the Presidential Airport in the capital.

Also present to see off President Trump were senior members of the royal family and top government officials, including Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; and Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

As a ceremonial gesture extended to distinguished guests, a formation of military aircraft escorted President Trump’s plane as it exited UAE airspace. The squadron leader formally requested permission from the US president to accompany the aircraft until it cleared the nation’s skies.
