Designed by British-Ghanaian architect Sir David Adjaye, the complex is named after Abraham, the prophet revered by Muslims, Christians and Jews alike.

Trump is the first US President to visit the complex.

US President Donald Trump arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, May 15, after visiting Saudi Arabia and Qatar. UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed him upon his arrival at the presidential terminal in Abu Dhabi International Airport.

US President Donald Trump, the first US president to visit the complex, wrote: “The Abrahamic Family House stands as a sacred and powerful testament to the vision of the Middle East shared by the United State of America, and the United Arab Emirates. I see in this house the promise for our future if humanity chooses cooperation over conflict, friendship over enmity, prosperity over poverty, and hope over despair.”
