Umm Al Quwain: Umm Al Quwain Police General Headquarters has urged parents to prevent children from using unlicensed motorcycles and electric bikes in residential areas, citing rising safety risks and noise complaints.

The Traffic and Patrols Department said reckless riding by untrained youngsters—often without protective gear—poses dangers to riders, pedestrians and motorists, while also disturbing neighbourhoods.

Police called for “serious cooperation” from parents, stressing that stopping children from using such vehicles can significantly reduce accidents and keep communities safe.

“The safety of our children is a shared responsibility,” authorities said, noting that enforcement efforts must be matched by parental supervision.

Residents were urged to report violations to  901   and  call 999 in case of emergencies
