UAE Ministry of Justice implements over 75 community initiatives in 2025

The UAE Ministry of Justice has rolled out more than 75 community initiatives over the past ten months, underlining its commitment to social engagement and national cohesion as part of the 2025 “Year of Community” campaign.

Focus on social impact and legal awareness

These initiatives targeted support for People of Determination, expanded community service programmes, and promoted legal awareness among citizens. A high-level committee chaired by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, oversaw the programmes through a framework based on eight strategic pillars, designed to strengthen the Ministry’s outreach and impact.

Strengthening social cohesion

His Excellency Al Nuaimi said the initiatives reflect the Ministry’s dedication to building a society aware of its rights and responsibilities, linking legal and judicial work directly to community service. “Community service is not a temporary endeavour; it is a strategic national approach centred on investing in people, supporting social stability, and fostering shared responsibility,” he said.

Key initiatives and programmes

Highlights include the Role of the Judiciary in Social Stability conference, the Judges of the Future project aimed at developing the judicial sector, and the Ida’at (Insights) lectures organized by the Judicial Training Institute. Other efforts included recognising retired judiciary members, supporting productive families through the Together to Support Our Children’s Projects initiative, and the humanitarian Weyakum programme under Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan.

Digital and youth engagement

The Ministry also launched the 2025 Virtual Summer Internship Program and unveiled the Digital Legal Library at GITEX 2025, further strengthening access to knowledge and youth engagement in the legal sector.

Collectively, these initiatives reinforce the Ministry’s active role in national efforts to build a socially, legally, and sustainably cohesive society, aligning with the UAE’s 2025 focus on community empowerment.
