Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, visited Hatta on Thursday to review ongoing development and tourism projects under the region’s comprehensive development plan.

Sharing updates on his X account, Sheikh Mohammed said: “During my visit to Hatta in Dubai today, we witnessed its stunning natural beauty, sustainable environment, and its appeal as a family-friendly destination for loved ones and friends.”

During the tour, Sheikh Mohammed reviewed projects worth Dh3.6 billion, noting that 41 have been completed, while 24 tourism, residential, and environmental projects are currently under construction. Among the highlights of his visit was the approval of a model residential neighbourhood for Emirati citizens, which will include 200 homes designed to blend traditional local architecture with sustainable features.

Sheikh Mohammed also inaugurated the Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls, a new eco-friendly attraction aimed at enhancing the area’s appeal for residents and tourists.

To conclude his tour, Sheikh Mohammed attended the Hatta Winter Festival, enjoying its vibrant activities that celebrate the region’s cultural heritage and natural beauty.

Reaffirming his commitment, Sheikh Mohammed stated: “Our dedication to developing Hatta, alongside all neighborhoods and areas of Dubai, remains unwavering. We will continue serving our citizens and striving to build the best quality of life for people globally. May God grant us success in our service to the nation and its people.”
