Celebrations across city and eastern region to honour the UAE’s unity and future vision

Sharjah: The UAE is preparing to mark its 54th Eid Al Etihad (UAE National Day), celebrating more than five decades of unity, growth, and shared national purpose. The occasion reflects a journey built on determination, partnership, and the belief that progress is strongest when the nation moves forward together.
This year’s celebration comes as the UAE continues to push ahead with ambitious development plans while maintaining a firm commitment to a future shaped by innovation, stability, and openness. Across the country, people are preparing to honour the values that brought the seven emirates together — values that continue to define the nation’s character today.
Sharjah has announced an extensive schedule of cultural, artistic, and community activities to mark the 54th Eid Al Etihad (UAE National Day). The celebrations will run from November 19 to December 2, 2025, bringing residents and visitors together in a wide range of events held across the emirate’s parks, heritage sites, and popular destinations.
Activities planned for National Day aim to highlight the UAE’s rich heritage while showcasing its modern identity and diverse community. Events will focus on the country’s history, achievements, and traditions, with participation expected from all age groups, local families, youth communities, and cultural organisations.
On this occasion, Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Committee for the 54th UAE National Day Celebrations, extended his congratulations to the UAE leadership — led by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Their Highnesses the Rulers and Crown Princes of the Emirates. He also conveyed his best wishes to all citizens and residents as the nation marks another year of unity and progress.
Sharjah’s main National Day events will take place at Al Siyouh Family Park, Kshisha Park, Sharjah National Park, and Al Layyah Canal. Celebrations will also extend to regions including Al Dhaid, Al Batayeh, Kalba, Khorfakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Hamriyah, Al Madam, Wadi Al Helo, Mleiha, and Al Khrous. In Mughaider Suburb, activities at Al Rifa’a Park will run throughout the festival period.
A major musical night will also take place at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, adding a festive highlight to the programme.
Al Siyouh Family Park will host the official opening ceremony at 5pm on November 19, featuring folk performances, artistic shows, competitions, and youth dialogue sessions. The park will remain active with celebrations until 2 December.
At Kshisha Park, daily events will include traditional performances, children’s shows, community workshops, and competitions designed to bring families together.
For the first time, Al Layyah Canal will host National Day activities from November 28 to December 2. The new waterfront venue will welcome visitors with national performances, family-business stalls, children’s workshops, and youth project showcases.
Sharjah National Park, another key venue, will host a series of cultural performances, youth panels, competitions, and children's entertainment. The park will be transformed into a community village featuring heritage displays, craft workshops, food stalls, and platforms for poets, students, and local talents. Participation from people of determination, youth groups, and productive families ensures that the celebrations remain inclusive and community-focused.
On November 29, Khorfakkan Amphitheatre will host a special musical evening featuring Hussain Al Jassmi and Fouad Abdelwahad. The event is expected to draw large crowds, celebrating the spirit of the nation through music and patriotic performances.
Sharjah’s central and eastern regions will hold their own distinctive celebrations, each reflecting local heritage and community traditions.
Al Batayeh will host parades, folk performances, heritage displays, and a “Union Bus” distributing gifts and flags from November 27 to 29.
Al Dhaid will feature a major parade between November 26 and 30, along with heritage markets, local food stalls, and cultural programmes at Al Dhaid Fort.
In Al Hamriyah, the Heritage Village by the creek will host traditional songs, crafts, sports events, and classic car displays from November 20 to 22.
Kalba will present its annual operetta, parades, water sports competitions, and fireworks from November 22 onwards.
Wadi Al Helo will hold poetry performances, student shows, and community competitions on November 23.
Khorfakkan will host the operetta “Pulse of the Nation”, along with youth gatherings, folk shows, and a robotics exhibition.
Dibba Al Hisn will celebrate with a national parade on November 22, followed by traditional dances and fireworks.
In Al Khrous, celebrations on November 28 will include parades with schools and government entities.
Al Madam will offer cultural films, heritage costume competitions, and community discussions on November 22 and 23.
Mleiha will host military bands, folk shows, recycling workshops, poetry readings, and cultural events on November 20 and 21.
Mughaider Suburb will celebrate on November 21 and 22 with a bicycle parade, family-business stalls, K9 police demonstrations, and cultural shows for residents.
Sharjah’s 54th Eid Al Etihad celebrations highlight the values that define the UAE — unity, loyalty, and a strong connection between people and leadership. This year’s events also align with the “Year of Community”, which focuses on strengthening social ties, promoting cultural identity, and building a shared vision for the future.
Khalid Jasim Al Midfa expressed his appreciation to the Sharjah Executive Council, municipal councils, and government bodies for supporting this year’s extensive programme. He stressed the importance of ongoing innovation in national celebrations, noting that such events help reinforce national identity for future generations.
As the UAE continues its path of growth and development, Eid Al Etihad remains a powerful symbol of the nation’s unity and enduring determination — a reminder of how far the country has come, and how confidently it steps forward into the future.
