Surgery was done after President had a mild stroke on Friday morning

Abu Dhabi -- President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan suffered a stroke on Friday morning, January 24, according to the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.

The official agency WAM reported that the president immediately underwent a surgical operation.

The President's health is now stable, the ministry reported.

May God safeguard him and grant him a quick recovery.
