Report on cause of mosque collapse due

Ras Al Khaimah: The technical committee set up to investigate the collapse of the mosque under construction in Adhan here is currently writing its final report on the collapse of the mosque under construction which will be submitted to the emirate's authorities within two days.

Mubarak Al Shamsi, the Director General of the RAK Municipality, said it will be a comprehensive report on what exactly caused the collapse of the mosque under construction.

Al Shamsi said the RAK Municipality has issued an official letter to the contracting company to remove the collapsed ceiling and other parts and to get a new construction licence from the Construction Department of the Municipality should construction work be resumed.

The mosque collapsed on September 5 in southern Adhan here.

One Indian labourer died and 17 Asian labourers were injured.
