Military ceremony held for martyr

Abu Dhabi - A private military ceremony was held on Wednesday morning for martyr Nasser Ali Al Beloushi, at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a number of senior officers.

Following the ceremony, a private aircraft of the Joint Armed Forces transported the martyr’s body to his family in Fujairah.

Al Beloushi succumbed to injuries he sustained while participating in the Saudi-led Arab coalition’s Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen. Al Beloushi was being treated at a hospital in Germany after he was injured during an incident in Marib in September.

Dr Shaikh Rashid Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, offered funeral prayers for Al Beloushi at the Martyr’s Mosque in Fujairah. Also offering prayers were a number of senior officers from the Armed Forces, police, and scores of citizens and residents.
