Khalifa Charity Foundation distributes free food to more than a million people in a month

Abu Dhabi: The Khalifa Charity Foundation distributed food among 1.2 million people in the country so far during the month of Ramadan.

The foundation focused on people with limited resources in various emirates and distributed food for iftar among them through a well-organised network.

The project is financed by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and backed by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, nister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, is closely following up the charity drive at the national level.

Mohammad Haji Al Khouri, Executive Director of the Foundation, said the foundation set up 88 iftar centres across various emirates and is distributing over 40,000 meals every single day through these centres.
