Manila: Saqr Gobash Saeed Gobash, Minister of Labour, will chair a UAE delegation to the second Ministerial Consultations of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue Tuesday in the Philippine capital Manila.

President Benigno Aquino will open the meeting that will be held at the International Convention Centre in Manila.

The Philippines Department of Labour and Employment, in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Labour, has organised a second meeting which will see the participation of 14 ministers and over 100 senior officials from the governments of the concerned states, including the GCC countries.

Philippines Labour and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz will inaugurate the meeting. The meeting will discuss and approve the findings of the first meeting of senior officials held in late January.

Earlier, Gobash yesterday met Mustafa Ali Al Rajbani, Libya's Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, at his office at the Ministry of Labour. Al Rajbani expressed Libya's desire to benefit from the UAE's experience in job market dossier management, vocational training and human resource management.

Gobash reaffirmed the UAE's keenness, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to continue offering all forms of support to the Libyan people to help them develop their country. He confirmed to Al Rajbani his ministry's readiness to brief Libya on the UAE's job market dossier management experience, and offered to consult whenever necessary.

Gobash stressed the importance of increasing the level of coordination between both ministries, and extended an invitation to a Libyan ministry work team so they can be briefed on all policies and strategies that comprise the UAE ministry's integrated system for managing the job market.
