Aden: The Emirates Red Crescent has distributed food baskets to poor families in several villages in the Al Shuraijah district in the Qubaytah Directorate, north of the Yemeni province of Lahej.

The support provided is part of the ERC’s ‘Year of Zayed’ initiatives in the area and neighbouring villages to ease the hardships facing many due to the difficult economic situation which is exacerbated by the ongoing Al Houthi-Iranian war launched against the Yemeni people four years ago.

The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the ERC’s humanitarian gesture in their remote villages, which they said have not been visited by any other relief organisations.
