Dubai Police to hold drill at midnight

The exercise is meant to access and perfect the emergency measures already in place

Dubai: In a bid to stay on their toes and keep evacuation procedures smooth and hassle free, the police are carrying out a trial run tonight at Shaikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard.

Dubai Media Office tweeted that the police department along with Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services and Emaar will be undertaking the exercise to access and perfect the emergency measures already in place.

The fairy lights that twinkle along Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard were switched off as Dubai joined cities around the world during Earth Hour 2013 at the downtown Dubai, March 23, 2014.

Organised by Emaar Properties PJSC, the UAE Ministry of Culture, Youth & Community Development, and the Automobile Touring Club of the United Arab Emirates (ATCUAE), the Emirates Classic Car Festival is held in Mohammad Bin Rashid Boulevard, Downtown Dubai.
