Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced a new multiple-entry visa for yacht crew members at the Dubai International Boat Show.

“A multiple-entry visa for six months for yacht crew, a new service from GDRFA Dubai to provide a smoother and more flexible maritime travel experience!” GDRFA tweeted on Saturday, February 22.

According to GDRFA, those interested can learn more about this service at the Dubai International Boat Show, taking place at Dubai Harbour.

In addition to the multiple-entry visa, GDRFA introduced the ‘Mobile Marina’ at the event. This innovative service aims to streamline entry and exit procedures for yacht owners, offering a seamless experience. The initiative includes simplified processes, a dedicated team stationed at Dubai’s marinas to assist with formalities, and instant processing of entry and exit procedures - claimed to take less than 30 seconds per transaction.

The 31st edition of the Dubai International Boat Show is currently underway and will run until 23 February at Dubai Harbour from 3pm to 8pm.

Meanwhile, in December 2024, Abu Dhabi launched a 10-year UAE Golden Visa under the ‘Abu Dhabi Golden Quay’ initiative to attract yacht owners to the UAE.

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Yas Marina, stated that the initiative aims to encourage investment in the emirate from high-net-worth individuals.
