Dh1.32m provided for Palestinian orphans

Hebron: The UAE’s Human Appeal International (HAI) provided Dh1.32 million for 544 orphans it is sponsoring in Palestine.

The move is a part of HAI’s orphan care programme in Palestine under which it sponsors 22,000 orphans and needy families at a cost of $17 million (Dh62.42 million). Ebrahim Rashid, Director of HAI in the West Bank, said that HAI was able to successfully build a social security network for orphans in Palestine as part of its philosophy to boost human development and the Palestinians’ national resilience.
