Abdullah Bin Zayed meets Russian Presidential Envoy

Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on Monday met Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting saw discussions on bilateral co-operation between the UAE and the Russian Federation and means to enhance relations between the two friendly countries.

Shaikh Abdullah and Bogdanov also discussed latest regional developments and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Shaikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy to the country and emphasised the UAE's keenness to strengthen ties with Russia.

He noted that relations between the two countries have witnessed a significant progress due to the mutual interest to further co-operation, especially in economic and commercial fields.

Bogdanov applauded his country's progressive relations with the UAE, thanks to the support of the leadership in both countries.
