For years Randall "Memphis" Raines (Nicolas Cage) eluded the law while boosting cars of every make and model imaginable. When the heat became too intense, he left everything and everyone he loved to find a different life. After an ominous visit from an old friend, he finds he has no choice but to return to what he does best – steal cars in order to save his brother (Giovanni Ribisi) from execution at the hands of the mob.

The challenge for Memphis – one night, 50 cars, or his brother gets it. However, his job is too big for one man – even Memphis - and he sets about tracking down and rounding up the motley members of his old gang whose help he will need if he is to save his brother's life.

Gone in 60 Seconds features one of the longest and most exciting car chase scenes ever created. This unparalleled action sequences showcases great driving, excessive speed, and one of the coolest and elite cars ever built, the 1967 Shelby Mustang (Eleanor), as the star of the chase. Nicolas Cage did majority of his own stunt-driving while behind the wheel of Eleanor during the exciting chase scenes throughout the city, which included dangerous 180 and 360-degree spinouts.

Gone in 60 Seconds, is a fast-paced '90s version of the 1974 cult classic from the late H.B. Halicki.
