Golden Mile: 5-year wait for possession set to end

DUBAI Apartment owners in two Golden Mile buildings (5 and 6) on Palm Jumeirah may get possession in days, five years after their completion.

Golden Mile has 10 buildings with 860 apartments. Apartments have been handed over since 2009, except those in buildings 5 and 6 due to a legal dispute.

A spokesperson of Souq Residence, the developer of Golden Mile, said it is aiming to issue a Notice to Complete (NTC) for the two buildings on April 27 which will enable the handover to begin. “Once the NTC is issued, owners will be expected to come and complete handover formalities within 30 days,” a spokesperson said.
