Sharjah: Jewellery aficionados can now catch the iconic Burj Al Arab in diamond on a finger.

A ring shaped like the beach tower is going on display on Wednesday at Expo Centre Sharjah during the MidEast Watch and Jewellery Show.

Costing 20,000 euros (Dh100,300), the ring is expected to rouse a lot of interest at the show that will feature 450 exhibitors.

The organisers said the ring was designed to symbolise the UAE's urban transformation. The handmade ring has 166 diamonds of 3.22 carats, and one natural aquamarine 26.7 carat stone set in 18-carat white gold.

The ring will be displayed at the Italian pavilion until October 12, and is the only one on sale.

"This creation can be a perfect gift item to a special person...," said a representative of the Noi Gioielli jewellery company.
