Adnoc Distribution further reduces refilling costs by Dh5 to Dh9 at northern emirates stations
Abu Dhabi: Adnoc Distribution has announced its third reduction in prices since February for the refilling of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders across its service stations in Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
Effective from Monday, the cost of refilling cylinders of 25lbs capacity has come down to Dh45 — a decrease of Dh5 from the price announced last month.
The company has also slashed the price of refilling the 50lbs cylinder — available only at Riffa station in Dibba-Fujairah — to Dh91(a Dh9 reduction from the earlier price).
Khalid Hadi, vice-president of marketing and corporate communications at Adnoc Distribution, said the step reflects the firm’s “commitment to meeting the needs of all customers purchasing gas cylinders” in the northern emirates and “also comes in response to the movement of LPG prices in global markets”.
The company currently provides more than 3,000 subsidised 25lbs cylinders daily at its service stations in the northern emirates.
Additionally, holders of e-cards in the northern emirates are eligible to benefit from subsidised gas.
The Rahal ‘e-Gas’ cards are issued free of cost by the company at its offices in Sharjah and at select Adnoc service stations across the UAE.
