Oxygen Oasis helps attendees breathe in pure oxygen filtered through fruit-filtered water machines

Dubai: A few steps away from the human crush of delegates gathered for the Arab Media Forum on Tuesday, an unusual Meditation Garden beckons.
To give delegates a few minutes of respite from the clamour of media sessions and workshops, forum organisers have created a tranquil hideaway inside walls of greenery and punctuated with lily-filled water ponds.
Tucked away in the so-called garden, a small crowd of curious forum-goers wore plastic face masks at the Oxygen Oasis to breathe in pure oxygen filtered through fruit-filtered water machines.
Abid Raza, Business Development Manager for Onground firm which provided the machines, told Gulf News that the therapy helps people relax because it boosts life-giving oxygen in the bloodstream.
“Normally, you breathe in 21-22 per cent oxygen. Our machines give you 38-40 per cent oxygen. We recommend you use it 30 minutes a day,” he said.
In another room covered in greenery, attendees were invited to slip on headphones and listen to their favourite music while reclining in comfortable chairs.
