Five killed and four injured in horrific Sharjah accident

Sharjah: Five people were killed and four others injured in a four-vehicle pile-up in Al Maleeha, near University City in Sharjah on Monday.

Two of the injured are fighting for their lives in Al Qasimi Hospital, Sharjah.

Two cars, one pick-up and a heavy vehicle were involved in the horrific accident, said Brigadier Humaid Mohammad Al Hudaidi, Chief of Sharjah Police.

Speeding and reckless driving led to the accident, said Brigadier Al Hudaidi.
