Firms can report absconders online in Dubai

Dubai: Companies with e-signature cards in Dubai who have more than 50 employees, can now report their absconding workers at the Ministry of Labour easily on line, said an official from the ministry.

According to the ministry of labour starting from the beginning of March all companies registered in Dubai can easily report their absconding workers online by logging into the ministry's website and lodging the complaint electronically without the need to visit the ministry's office.

"This service is open only for the companies who employee more than 50 staff," said Aisha Mohammad Bel Harfiya, Director of the labour offices department at the ministry.

Aisha added that companies must have the e-signature at the ministry.
