Fire guts 11 cars outside Dubai Outlet Mall

Dubai: Up to 11 cars went up in flames after a fire erupted at a parking lot outside the Dubai Outlet Mall late on Saturday afternoon, an Civil Defence official has confirmed.

According to Dubai Civil Defence, they were alerted on 4:14 pm about fire in 11 cars parked outside the mall.

Firefighters from Al Laisali Fire Station arrived at 4:22 pm and controlled the fire at 4:52pm. No injuries were reported, according to an official of Dubai Civil Defence.

What to do to avoid fire in your car

It was not immediately clear what triggered the fire. The site was handed over to Dubai Police fire experts to establish the cause of the fire.
