Father found dead in Dubai building

Dubai: Police have launched an investigation after the body of a 45-year-old Indian man was found hanging from the rails of a residential building’s staircase in Al Khail Gate Dubai.

The father of three, who has been as identified Y.K., is suspected of having committed suicide on Friday.

A Dubai Police official said: “We are investigating the case and we are waiting for the forensic lab to release autopsy report on the death of this man.”

According to sources close to the family, the man, who was a divisional manager with a retail firm in Dubai, had been suffering from stress in the last few days.

One of the neighbours and a friend of the deceased at the Al Khail Gate neighbourhood said he was still struggling to digest the news after a security guard showed him Y.K.’s body early on Friday morning.

“I was really shocked when the security guard knocked at my door and conveyed the tragic news to us, I can’t believe my brother is no more,” he said.

The man’s friend described him as very helpful and friendly.

“He was a lovely, kind person who was very full of life, no-one could never imagine that he would meet such a tragic end in this way,” he said.

The deceased, who is from the Indian state of Karnataka, is survived by his wife and three children.
