A 41-year-old Emirati woman died in a car accident minutes before ending fast in RAK

Ras Al Khaimah: A 41-year-old Emirati woman died minutes before ending fast in Ras Al Khaimah after her car involved in a collision with another car.
The accident happened on Saturday at 6.40pm in Al Jolan area of Ras Al Khaimah.
Brigadier Dr Mohammad Saeed Al Humaidi, Director General of the Central operations at RAK Police, said a team rushed to the spot after the control room received a call reporting the accident.
At the accident scene, Police found that the car driven by the Emirati woman had crashed into another car driven by an Asian man.
The accident occurred due to speeding and the car which caused the accident suddenly entered the road without making sure it is clear.
The Emirati woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the Asian driver who sustained injuries was taken to the hospital.
The body of the victim was handed over to her family and she was buried in RAK cemetery.
The police said speeding and lack of attention on the road as the cause of the accident.
Brigadier Al Humaidi urged motorists to follow traffic rules while driving for their own safety and the safety of others.
