The program aims to enhance preventive safety awareness and improve emergency readiness
Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has launched the ‘Safety Patrol’ initiative for industrial, commercial, and residential facilities across the emirate.
The program aims to enhance preventive safety awareness and improve the readiness of individuals and institutions to respond to emergencies, in alignment with the UAE’s ‘Year of Community’.
The ‘Safety Patrol’ carries out field visits to facilities throughout Abu Dhabi to raise awareness, assess site preparedness, and provide preventive guidance.
The initiative also includes training sessions designed to boost both individual and organisational capabilities in meeting safety requirements.
As part of its efforts to encourage compliance, the ‘Safety Patrol’ awards Safety Certificates to facilities that meet established prevention standards and issues Observation Cards as informal notices where improvements are needed.
Additionally, the initiative introduces a Safety Voucher, offering discounts on safety equipment to promote proactive implementation.
By combining public engagement with preventive action, the ‘Safety Patrol’ presents an effective model that supports the Abu Dhabi Government’s commitment to strengthening social resilience, ensuring safety, and protecting lives, property, and overall quality of life across the emirate.
