Top Pakistani television and film artistes led by Moin Akhtar and Bushra Ansari are coming to Dubai next week to perform at a musical extravaganza, "Eid Festival Show".
Top Pakistani television and film artistes led by Moin Akhtar and Bushra Ansari are coming to Dubai next week to perform at a musical extravaganza, "Eid Festival Show". The show, which will be held at Al Nasr Leisureland on March 7, will also feature Shahzad Roy, Rahim Shah, Shazia Khushk, the Benjamin Sisters and Shahid Ali Khan. Hina Shaheen and Sohni will give dance performances.
"The show has been designed to provide a variety of entertainment for people of all ages, from youngsters to the old, who will see their famous pop and folk singers along with dance sequences and comedy skits," said Syed Imad and Syed Shuja of Dream Advertising, the organisers of the show. They said that around 4,000 people were expected to attend making it the biggest music event involving Pakistani artistes so far this year.
Moin Akhtar has served the entertainment industry since the inception of Pakistan television, but he is the still the most sought after artist in showbiz, especially when it comes to stage performances and compering. He is also the winner of the Pride of Performance Award the top award for artists given by the President of Pakistan. Akhtar will be accompanied on stage by another versatile stage and television personality, Bushra Ansari. Her performance and her parody songs have made her one of the most popular actresses in Pakistan.
Pop singer Shahzad Roy who has already performed in Dubai several times and is very popular amongst youngsters, has the ability to hold his audience spellbound. His famous hits, Bewafa, Nazrein, Dholna, Darshan, Yaadein, Ae Khuda, Teri Soorat, Har Gayee and Ya Rab have been top of the charts in Pakistan. Rahim Shah, a famous singer from the North Western Frontier Province of Pakistan, has the ability to sing both in Pushto and Urdu.
His last hit album, Gham, took him to the heights of popularity. He sang both pop and folk songs and also mixes Pushto music tunes to create his unique music compositions which are now very popular amongst music lovers. Pakistan's best female folk singer Shazia Khushk who has performed around the world, including Dubai, will again be singing her popular folk song Dana Badana at the concert.
The Benjamin Sisters who stormed into Pakistan's music industry in the last decade, becoming instantly popular, will perform in Dubai for the first time.
