Nobel laureate to speak at college conference

Al Ain: Dr R.K. Pachauri, Nobel laureate for peace, will deliver a keynote speech at the 21st annual conference of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), opening on Thursday.

Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, will open the Inspiring and Educating Youth for a Sustainable Future conference at Madinat Jumeirah, in Dubai.

Dr Pachauri, who is a leading expert in the fields of energy, environment, forestry, biotechnology, and the conservation of natural resources, will address how the youth can be inspired and educated for a sustainable future.

Shaikh Nahyan will introduce the HCT strategy for the new academic year to top officials, businessmen, professors from international universities and colleges, and HCT staff.
