Centre plans test to help choose career

Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Chapter of the Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI) will conduct Differential Aptitude Tests to help students choose the most suited career.

The tests for Indian students from ninth to 12 standards in Abu Dhabi will be held on April 20 and 21, the CIGI Abu Dhabi chapter announced yesterday.

Three trained experts in psychometric analysis from CIGI Headquarters in Calicut will conduct the tests and hold counselling of students in the presence of their parents on the basis of the assessments of the test to help them choose most suitable educational career.

The differential aptitude tests (DAT) are the latest genre of the career aptitude tests. The DAT measures children's aptitudes in eight different areas.
