Dubai to host meet of judicial institute heads
Dubai is gearing up to host the 11th meeting of directors of Arab Judicial Institutes from May 3 to 7, according to Ibrahim Mohammed Bu Melha, Deputy Chairman of the Department of Justice and Dubai Attorney-General.
The Board of Directors of the Institute of Advanced Legal and Judicial Studies approved the event at a recent meeting. Dr Muflah Al Qudat, director, said the institute hopes that the 11th meeting will be a success and reflect the performance of Arab Judicial Institutes.
During the meeting, the directors will discuss cooperation between the Arab judicial institutes in terms of training judicial cadres and enhancing their performance for the interest of justice in the Arab world.
Dr Al Qudat added that all recommendations reached after the meeting will be submitted to the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice.
The Director of the Institute of Advanced Legal and Judicial Studies stressed that the five-member council that was appointed during the 10th meeting in Sanaa, Yemen, will meet in Dubai on April 29 and 30, to prepare for the May meetings. The five members - from the UAE, Algeria, Sudan, Egypt and Yemen - will meet to set the agenda of the meeting as well.
