Dh11.4m to help Emirati women married to foreigners

Abu Dhabi: The Zakat Fund Committee has approved Dh11.4 million this year to help Emirati women married to foreigners.

The donations were made as part of a project called “Compassion”.

Abdullah Bin Aqeeda Al Muhairi, Secretary-General of the Zakat Fund and Chairman of the Reimbursement Committee, said that the fund has provided financial assistance to 347 families so far, as part of the project to benefit a segment of society which is unable to meet its financial needs and is not currently entitled to certain privileges given to Emirati families.
