Expatriates in Dubai are given more time for ID card renewal or registration
Dubai: The Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) has extended the deadline for registration of ID cards for Dubai residents to June 30.
There had been a surge of applications in the days closer to May 31, which was the deadline earlier set for expatriates to renew or register for ID cards.
EIDA has said a fine of Dh20 fine per day, which may go up to a maximum of Dh1,000, will be imposed on those who fail to meet the deadline.
