Distraught woman causes ruckus at Ajman restaurant, stabs officer with a knife
Ajman: A woman has been arrested for stabbing a policeman at an Ajman restaurant, police said.
The policeman, identified as H.B.Sh., was admitted to a Dubai hospital with stab wounds on Monday night, Ajman Police have confirmed.
Brigadier General Ali Alwan, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, told Gulf News that the incident was reported to the police operations room by a restaurant employee who said that a woman was out of control and breaking things in the restaurant.
Police officers attempted to calm down the Russian woman but she allegedly stabbed one of the officers with a knife. He suffered a severe cut to his hand as he tried to tackle the woman, who was later overpowered by his colleagues.
He was admitted to a hospital in Ajman but was later transferred to a Dubai hospital for surgery. Police are investigating the incident.
