Prosecutors seeking capital punishment against trio who killed victim, stole his car and belongings
Dubai: Three defendants have been referred to court facing charges of premeditatedly stabbing a victim to death and stealing his car and belongings.
“The defendants stabbed the victim with two knives and killed him. Then they stole his wallet, money, mobile phones and vehicle and absconded. They will be prosecuted before the Dubai Court of First Instance,” said Senior Chief Prosecutor Yousuf Foulaz, Head of Deira Prosecution.
Prosecutors have asked for the implementation of a capital punishment against the defendants, according to Foulaz.
According to primary interrogations that were carried out by Senior Prosecutor Abdullah Sultan Al Sharif, the defendants attacked the victim using two knives and stabbed him repeatedly until he dropped dead.
A hearing will be held soon.
