Sharjah Police arrest gang over cable thefts

Sharjah: Sharjah Police on Saturday arrested a seven-member gang in connection with the theft of copper cables from dozens of warehouses in the industrial area.

Police said the gang had broken down the main gate of a warehouse using a sharp metal object before fleeing with cables.

The Asian suspects reportedly entered the country illegally after being deported earlier. Police have called on all business owners to ensure proper security at their premises to deter criminals.
