Man hangs himself at boat factory in Dibba Fujairah

Fujairah: An Asian worker at a boat repair business in Dibba, Fujairah had dinner with his workmates late at night and then hanged himself, said Major Saif Rashid Al Zahmi, Director of Dibba Fujairah Police.

The man identified, as R.Kh.M. in his 30s, was found hanging by a rope wrapped around his neck and tied to the ceiling of the boat factory in the Al Raheeb area of Dibba.

His workmates reported the incident to police at around 11.30pm.

“Our investigation showed that the man was acting normally when he was with his two friends. We are trying to determine his motives for committing suicide,” said a police official.

A police investigation revealed that the worker had family disputes, which might have led to him taking his life.
