New Ministry of Interior app designed to improve communication between inmates and their loved ones

Ras Al Khaimah: The UAE’s first online inmate visitation request service has been launched on the Ministry of Interior application (MoIUAE) to facilitate communication with the public and conduct transactions quickly and efficiently.

The newly-launched service aims to ensure the happiness of inmates and their families by providing  them exceptional features for families that use the application. The service also allows families to determine the timings of visiting inmates.

The service was launched by Major-General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the RAK Police, in the presence of Brigadier Hamad Khamis Al Daheri, Deputy Head of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department at the Ministry of Interior, Colonel Jacob Joseph Abu Laila, director of the RAK Punitive and Correctional Establishments, and Major Yousuf Al Tunaiji, Head of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments Department Smart e-Transformation Support Team as well as other senior officials.

Al Nuaimi stressed the Ministry of Interior’s keenness on improving the quality of services rendered to the public so as to maintain good ties between inmates, officials and families to raise affinity and the spirit of cooperation among inmates.
